Small Group Training Workshop

This is an introduction class that you need to take prior to joining the Small Group Classes. The Movement Workshop is an immersive 60-minute exposure to training with a Coach. During this session, your coach will take you through mobility, strength, and cardio testing.  The testing is needed to help create your individualized training program & to better monitor you throughout your group sessions. Included in the session is an explanation of the ‘why’ and the ‘how” as well as a discussion about the programming basics and the equipment you will need. Completion of the Movement Workshop is required before joining the Team Training Sessions.

During the Movement Workshop our Coaches will gain scientific insight into your VO2 Max, heart rate, training zones, anaerobic thresholds, and more!  We will then understand how to train more effectively to improve your performance.

Private Personal Training

Whether you are coming back from an injury or just prefer working with your coach one-to-one – we’ve got options. Every rep of every work set you do in our gym will be actively coached by a Specialized Coach.  Our simple and logical approach to barbell training works every single time it is applied correctly for long-term, quantifiable progress.

Exercise can get you sweaty, get your heart pumping, or quickly burn a few calories.  Personal trainers can make up a new workout each day and tell you that exercise variety is key.  Random exercise with no clear long-term goal or intent is not training and at the end of the day, random workouts are not scalable, quantifiable and they don’t get results.

Training with a coach is different. It’s logical, regimented, and planned over the long-term, to produce a specific adaption. You will actually see (and feel) your progress each day as the weights slowly increase.  All you need to do is show up and get under the bar.

Injury Rehab & Prehab

This is for the fierce warriors, Who keep climbing. No matter how many times they fall.

Injured?

WE’LL HELP YOU GET BACK IN THE GAME

After you’ve sustained an injury, you have to work hard to return to the game, (be it sport, playing with your kids, or work) with total physical and mental confidence.

Once you’ve had an injury, your chance of re-injury is magnified greatly.  Thrive’s Injury Rehab and Prehab coaching focuses on you, and what you can do while injured, plotting a path to corrective recovery and better performance.

Thrive Movement Gym Coaches work with a team of chiropractors, physical therapists, sport massage therapists, and nutritionists to ensure things are done correctly.

Thrive’s Injury Rehabilitation & Prehabilitation Program integrates strength, power, mobility & stability, conditioning, injury prevention, and faster recovery.

Strength & Power: Do more and do it better when you’re stronger. Our training builds functional strength and the ability to generate it quickly when you need it.

Balance & Stability: Move with confidence, both in your favorite activities and throughout your everyday life. Our training puts a premium on these critical attributes.

Mobility: Staying flexible is key for keeping joints healthy and moving well. Our workouts are movement-based and always include flexibility work.

Unlimited Open Training

OUR SPECIALIZED FACILITY

Looking to train solo? The open training hours are “unstructured” gym hours where you can come and train. The name on the door is a guarantee of a fantastic environment that provides all the tools you need to shape your preferred workout session.

At Thrive Movement Gym, we train on an appointment basis where there are never more than 8 people in the training facility.  That way, you’ll never miss and you’ll never wait for equipment.  Maximum of 8 clients per 60-minute block (online booking).

Regardless of age, sex or ability, there IS a weight at which you can start your journey towards building a stronger, more useful body.  From the professional athlete to the 52-year-old ultrarunner and everyone in between, Thrive Movement is equipped and qualified to get you stronger than you thought possible.

Our Landmine program is meant to blend the best parts of weightlifting and functional training. Mastering & strengthening these movements can result in performance increases in explosive athletic movements, including sprinting, grappling, and punching.

Powerlifting, once you dive in, is gripping. It’s more than a workout—it’s training for a specific, and refreshingly simple, purpose: to improve the most you can lift in the squat, bench press, and deadlift.

There are 7 basic movements the human body can perform: Push, Pull, Lunge, Squat, Hinge, Rotation & Gait. When performing all of these movements, you will be able to stimulate all of the major muscle groups in your body.

Functional Training looks like movements that you make in your daily life. It can be helpful for athletic performance, injury prevention, and other everyday fitness tasks.
Cross-training is any workout that complements your normal routine, helping to even out potential muscle imbalances or weaknesses. Cross-training is a way to vary your fitness program by combining different types of exercise activities. What you have to decide is what purpose it is going to serve.  Cross-training should improve your cardio, strengthen your muscles, or help speed your recovery. It ultimately enhances your fitness level while reducing your likelihood of injury.
